A Catholic chaplaincy in the Diocese of St Gallen, Switzerland, is organising a 'drag' event. The performance, which will feature transvestites, will take place on Friday at the Grabenhalle venue in St. Gallen. According to the organisers, it will address "social, spiritual and cultural issues". Audience members will be invited to donate to a homosexual organisation.
Pope Leo XIV will present Cardinal Michael Czerny with Villanova University’s first “Pope Leo XIV Sustainability Medal” on 13 October at Castel Gandolfo’s Borgo Laudato si’. The award recognises Czerny’s work on social justice, poverty and the environment. A leading Vatican advocate of “integral ecology”, he links environmental concerns with social and economic issues. The medal highlights the growing prominence of sustainability within Vatican initiatives.
A child just under two years old was euthanized in the Netherlands because of disabilities. Born prematurely at 26 weeks, the child had severe brain damage, cerebral palsy, visual impairment, and difficult-to-treat seizures. At the parents’ request, a doctor killed the toddler at the end of 2025. Dutch authorities ruled on September 9 that the required criteria had been met.

Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller said he spent an entire day on the film set of Mel Gibson’s “The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One,” discussing the theology of the Resurrection with the Catholic filmmaker.
I hope Cardinal Mueller learned something, because his teaching on the Resurrection (a camera couldn't have filmed the event) is terrible and really amounts to a denial,
Emmanuel Macron’s request to accompany Leo XIV for a few minutes inside Notre-Dame Cathedral was not accepted by the Holy See, La Croix reports. This reflects a wider disagreement over the papal visit. Several requests from the Élysée were refused: the military welcome will be reduced, avoiding the Republican Guard and its drums; the Holy See declined the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour; and there will be no state lunch or dinner with Macron.

“Conservative” Auxiliary Bishop Josef Graf of Regensburg, Germany, can envision ordaining married men to the priesthood. Monsignor Graf made this remarks during a holiday in San Genesio, South Tyrol, where he also helped with the grape harvest in a local vineyard. He told Bz-bx.net: “I personally believe that the Church could afford viri probati”. He added that married priests would probably not solve the shortage of priests. On the ordination of women to the priesthood, Monsignor Graf said he believes it is “not possible.” He pointed there are “still” weighty theological reasons for reserving Holy Orders to men. #newsAdwjzpyvzr
Oddly enough, I can 'envision' waking up and discovering a Church which nurtures vocations by holding to the Faith rather than deviating from it to suit the needs of prelates who should never have been ordained in the first place.
Mature married men have worked out as well in the parishes founded by Anglicans who converted to Catholicism and, of course, historically in the Eastern Churches, so I don't see what people are worrying about. As long as they don't offer ordination to married men under the age of, say, 45 or 50, I think they'd make an excellent and much needed source of new priests.
Catholic priest had his cremated ashes turned into a blue diamond to become a “diamond with countless facets” reflecting God’s love. Vatican teaching forbids converting remains into jewelry and calls for burial as it honors the resurrection of the body.
Ein italienischer Priester hat nach seinem Tod seine Asche zu einem Diamanten pressen lassen – das verbietet die Kirche
The FSSPX makes its annual pilgrimage to Einsiedeln, but its procession remains on public ground. The Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) makes an annual Rosary pilgrimage to the famous Swiss monastery of Einsiedeln. This year’s pilgrimage takes place on October 10, but the public prayer procession is held only on public ground. Organised by the FSSPX-associated Militia Immaculatae, the procession has been held annually since 2021. Around 750 people participated in 2025. The distinction over where it takes place is significant. The lower part of the square in front of Einsiedeln Abbey, including the Marian fountain and the area up to the monastery arcades, belongs to the District of Einsiedeln and is public property. The upper part belongs to the monastery. The district has authorised the procession on its property. Fr. Philipp Steiner told kath.ch that the abbey had not been asked for permission and had only recently been informed of this year’s event. He stressed that “Einsiedeln …'Besdal

THAT which I have thus described as going on within the souls who are actually in purgatory, I have experienced in my own soul, especially during the last two years ; and each day I see and feel it more clearly. I perceive my soul in the midst of my body as in a purgatory, conformed and like to the true purgatory, in measure, however, that the body may be able to endure it and not die ; yet the pain goes on increasing gradually until death. I see the soul estranged to all things, even spiritual, which can give it nourishment as joy, delight, consolation ; and it has no …'Besdal

Leo XIV appoints military bishop who wants to “make a different Church”, and is open to female deacons and Communion for homosexuals. On September 14, Leo XIV has appointed Bishop Pedro Luis Fuentes Valencia, 58, as Military Ordinary for Bolivia. The Passionist bishop has served as apostolic administrator of the Military Ordinary since 2022, alongside his duties as auxiliary bishop of La Paz. Fuentes represented the Bolivian bishops at both sessions of the Synod on Synodality in Rome in 2023 and 2024. "Synodality Is Nature of Church" In October 2023 he spoke of having “the courage to build a different kind of church”. In June 2024, he defined synodality as “the very nature of the Church”. In July 2024, he repeated: “The Synod on Synodality is a way of being the Church.” And: “This is the Church’s identity: listening to one another, sharing, walking together, maturing together, growing together,” Communion for Homosexuals In October 2023, Monsignor Fuentes spoke about Holy Communion …'Besdal
In October 2023, Monsignor Fuentes spoke about Holy Communion for adulterers and those “not in full communion with the church”. According to Ceb.bo this included “the situation of the LGBT community”. Bishop Fuentes said: “This remains under debate, and the issue is still open. But to enter into Communion, one must reflect on one’s life—not so much in a moralistic sense, but in terms of what it means to be a Christian, for that is the direction we are heading in: what it means to be baptized and to be a follower of the Lord.”
Here is an example of what I mean: the Pope has appointed a new bishop for Terni, Italy—in addition to appointing the infamous Bishop Saporito to the See of Metuchen. Here is what the traditionalist blog *Messainlatino* says about him: "Our sources inform us that the appointment of Monsignor Alfonso Raimo—currently Auxiliary Bishop of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno—as the new Bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia will be announced shortly. We understand that he is the rector of the Church of San Giorgio Martire in Salerno, where the traditional Holy Mass is celebrated and where he has also delivered homilies, and that he holds 'orthodox' positions regarding doctrine." I am certain that Gloria.tv will publish an article defaming this bishop, claiming he said something "synodal," met with Protestants, or something similar. This amounts to discrediting the Church. Saporito is a heretic; Raimo is not. Yet for Gloria.tv and its followers, both are trash; this is lying and defamation.
Leo XIV has named the homosexual activist Michael Saporito, 64, Bishop of Metuchen, New Jersey (September 15). Monsignor Saporito, 64, is currently auxiliary bishop of Newark. Institutional Connection to McCarrick A native of Newark, Saporito entered the McCarrick seminary in 1987. In 1992, Archbishop Theodore McCarrick ordained Saporito to the priesthood. In 1999, homosexual McCarrick elevated the young Rev Saporito as assistant director of vocations. Founded Homosexual Ministry in Parish During Saporito’s tenure as pastor of St. Joseph Church in Maplewood (2004–2011), the parish employed an openly homosexual man as its full-time director of music and liturgy. He said he disclosed the relationship before being hired. Furthermore, as pastor of St. Joseph, Rev Saporito founded a group for homosexuals called "Open Arms Ministry." A 2011 report noted that the parish's embrace of homosexuals came under Saporito: “Above all, according to parishioners, Saporito - through words and deeds …'Besdal
Leo XIV Approves Maronite Archbishop of Damascus Today, Pope Leo XIV has approved the election of Sharbel Ghattas Maroun as the new Maronite Catholic archbishop of Damascus. A Lebanese-born priest, he has spent much of his ministry in the United States. Archbishop Maroun, 64, was elected by the Synod of Bishops of the Maronite Church. He succeeds Archbishop Samir Nassar, 76, whose resignation was accepted by the synod. Since 2020, Maroun has served as protosyncellus, a senior position comparable to vicar general, of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. Born January 6, 1962, in Kfarselwan, Lebanon, Maroun briefly worked for Crédit Libanais bank. Older Brother, a Lebanese Forces Fighter, Helped Maroun During Civil War In 1975, Lebnen, the father, and the eldest brother Nassif joined the Kataeb (Phalange) party and took up arms to defend their home. Leo XIV’s Prayer Intention Is … for the Care of Water: In September 2026, Leo XIV invites Catholics around the world to pray for the care of water. In his monthly prayer intention, he reminds Christians that access to clean water should be a right. “We beg forgiveness that it has been turned into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders.” He encourages Christians to reject waste and pollution and to use natural resources responsibly. Caring for water, he says, is both an expression of love for creation and an act of solidarity with the poor.
The Pope’s Prayer intention for the month of September is to pray for care of water: “Lord of Life, you have given us the gift of water, source of fruitfulness, freshness, and hope. It quenches thirst, nourishes the earth, and heals wounds. We thank you because it is also a symbol of your grace and love that renews us through baptism. Today, we ask you to teach us to safeguard it with gratitude, justice, and responsibility. Forgive us for turning it into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders, meant for all your children. We see with pain, so many brothers and sisters, who lack clean water, who walk for miles to find it, who become ill due to its scarcity. May your Spirit make us pilgrims of the essential, able to live with simplicity, denouncing waste and pollution, defending the right of every brother and sister to drink without fear and without inequality. May our care for water, be a sign of love for the Creator, and a commitment to the lives of …'Besdal

Every 29 June, within St Peter’s Basilica, one of the most striking Catholic traditions returns. The vesting of the statue of Saint Peter, including the cope and the tiara.
A two-metre-high, blood-red sculpture of Jesus Christ holding two Uzi submachine guns is on display at L’Aérosol in Marseille. The blasphemy was made by French provocateur James Colomina. It was initially placed outside the venue before being moved indoors. Colomina claims the armed Christ is an anti-violence statement. #newsObnvrghjid
