Sinking Titanic Back at the Vatican: "We are human beings, not techno-robots," Leo XIV told the children of the Vatican summer camp today, encouraging them to limit screen time, pray, cultivate real friendships, and avoid becoming dependent on technology. The scene featured the Pope addressing hundreds of children beneath a giant inflatable sinking Titanic. The plastic 'bouncy castle' in the shape of the Titanic has been in use for several years.

On June 20, Leo XIV has appointed Rev Elímar Gerardo Carvajal Durán, 50, as Bishop of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Born in Grecia in 1976 and ordained a priest in 2003, Monsignor Carvajal Durán has served in various pastoral roles within the Diocese of Alajuela and most recently as Diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Ministry. He is a strongly synodal, CELAM-formed, Francis-era pastoral organizer. His public record shows extensive commitment to "discernment", "accompaniment", and "synodality". Strong Synodal Profile By September 2022, Rev. Carvajal had assumed a leading role in coordinating the Diocese of Alajuela's Diocesan Synodal Process. In a September 28, 2022 talk on the Youtube channel of the Diocese of Alajuela, Monsignor Carvajal uses all of the Francis’ buzzwords such as "the synodal Church", "the reality is always before the idea", “listening to the cries of people”, etc. His Language Speaks Volumes In a September 5, 2023 video, Monsignor Carvajal said that discernment and synodality …níos mó
He needs to affirm the Creeds, Councils and Cathechisms in the original. He does not do this. This is a canonical issue. With Vatican Council II rational we can affirm the Council and Tradition. But the bishop, with Vatican Council II irrational cannot affirm both. A bishop who cannot affirm de fide teachings in Tradition which are not contradicted by Vatican Council II, cannot hold his office. It is obligatory, morally and canonically for the bishop to affirm Vatican Council I I only rationally ( LG 16 inviible.)
A Malicious Chapter in the History of American Justice June 21, 2026, 6:00 a.m. ET nytimes.com/…chicago-broadwater-six-misconduct-mi… By David French Opinion Columnist An unusual tweet caught my eye last week. It was from Josh Gerstein, Politico’s senior legal affairs reporter, and it said this: “NEW: Trump admin takes rare step to quell controversy over prosecutorial misconduct in dropped criminal case against Chicago-area anti-ICE protesters. Feds won’t fight defense demand to pay bill for activists’ legal fees.” Here’s why it’s so notable. In our legal system, prosecutors rarely pay a criminal defendant’s legal fees, even when the government loses its case. Defendants tend to be reimbursed only when they can prove serious prosecutorial misconduct. It’s even rarer for prosecutors to agree to pay those fees. Experienced lawyers will read that tweet and know a single, simple truth. Something very bad went down in Illinois. Why, you might wonder, would I write about a criminal …níos mó
The Church has “frequently wounded the LGBT community through judgmentalism and exclusion,” Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy claimed in a June 20 homily at the homosexual conference Outreach, held at the Jesuits’ Georgetown University. He pointed to "two developments during the pontificate of Leo XIV". The first was a remark Leo XIV made during his trip to Africa in April, when he said that “the unity or division in the church should not revolve around sexual matters.” Cardinal McElroy commented: “Too often both in magisterial statements and on the popular level, sexual sins have been condemned with an ardor that effectively places them in the eyes of many believers as the core moral obligation of Christians.” Leo XIV instead pointed “to the comparative importance of economic justice, war and peace, immigration and racism as key elements of the Christian moral life.” The second development cited by McElroy was the publication of the report of synod's Study Group 9 in May and …níos mó
Monsignor Livio Melina (pictured with Benedict XVI), former president (2006-2016) of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, has written on Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia’s role in the suppression of the original Institute. Melina responded on LaNuovaBq.it (June 20) to a May 21 interview Paglia gave to Settimana News. “Cover for an Unconfessable Interest” Melina’s most striking accusation comes near the end of his essay: “Paglia’s actions were not moved by theological reasons, but by an ideological criticism of the Institute.” He suggests that ideology serves to hide deeper motives: “Ideology, as Karl Marx taught us, functions as a cover for an unconfessable interest.” Melina suggests that the suppression may have stemmed from a conviction that the Church's traditional teaching on marriage and family is "unreasonable" and "impracticable". "No Facts, Only Interpretations" - Nietzsche Melina accuses Paglia's paradigm of resting on the "principle of …níos mó
Syriac Christians remember martyrs of Sayfo genocide | Shalom World News Over a century later, Syriac Christians in Syria and across the East gathered on June 15 to honor the martyrs of the Sayfo Genocide — the mass killings and displacement of Christians under the Ottoman Empire during World War I. The Syriac community of Damascus commemorated their ancestors with a Divine Liturgy at the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Saint George. Led by bishops, clergy, deacons, and hundreds of faithful, a solemn procession moved to Al-Qishla, accompanied by the Patriarchal Syriac Scout Band of Saint Ephrem. The remembrance concluded at the Garden of the Syriac Martyrs, where a central flame was lit and candles were raised as symbols of faith, memory, and enduring hope.
US Bishop Abolishes Another Mass in Roman Rite: Bishop William F. Medley of Owensboro, Kentucky, has ordered Rev. David Kennedy to stop celebrating according to the Roman Missal after June 30. He will only permit the Novus Ordo celebrated in Latin and ad orientem instead. Bishop Medley explains he cannot certify - as Vatican instructions required - that the parish has taken steps to move the faithful toward the Novus Ordo. He delayed action to see if Leo XIV would reconsider Traditionis Custodes but proceeded after the Cardinals' January Consistory declined to revisit the document.

Breaking News DMSO: Restoring vision in disorders considered untreatable DMSO is a proven “umbrella remedy” that treats dozens of “incurable” conditions and protects delicate tissues (especially the brain and eyes) from otherwise fatal injuries such as a complete loss of blood flow. DMSO has a unique, almost magnetic affinity for the eyes, routinely restoring vision in disorders conventional medicine considers untreatable – including decades-long and lifelong blindness. DMSO shields the retina from ischemic strokes, intense light damage (e.g., staring directly at the sun) and progressive degenerative diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma and many others covered below. Clinical studies and dozens of reader reports confirm DMSO halts or reverses macular degeneration – often returning eyesight that patients believed was gone forever. Beyond severe disease, DMSO dramatically improves everyday vision: sharper focus, better contrast and night vision, fewer floaters, and many people …
Very promising ongoing research here. Much anecdotal evidence. Safe to use but I would stick to topical in a diluted form if without supervision from someone with experience. At least 50%. High absorption rate. Make sure skin surface is clean. Because it absorbs other solutions with it. That is why it also has promise as a carrier medication for other treatments.
