This is how the streets of Jerusalem looked during this year’s Palm Sunday procession! Silent, empty of olive and palm branches and the faithful’s cheers
Multiple governments - including the USA, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Lebanon, and Poland, - condemned Israeli police for blocking a private prayer by Cardinal Pizzaballa at the church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem today. In response, Israeli officials say they are working on a plan to allow church leaders to worship at the holy site in the coming days. Cardinal Pizzaballa told TV2000 that there were no clashes: "Everything was done in a very polite manner. I do not want to force the issue. We want to use this situation to try to clarify better in the coming days what to do, in respect for everyone's safety but also in respect for the right to prayer."
Cardinal Pizzaballa: “It is true that the police had said that the orders from the internal command prevented any kind of gathering in places where there is no shelter, but we had not asked for anything public, just a brief and small private ceremony to preserve the idea of the celebration in the Holy Sepulchre. There were no clashes; everything was done in a very polite manner. I do not want to force the issue; we want to use this situation to try to clarify better in the coming days what to do, in respect for everyone's safety but also in respect for the right to prayer."

Last week’s death of a young Spanish woman by euthanasia shocked the world. Although her father fought for eighteen months to have to procedure stopped, he was overruled by the Spanish courts. At the eleventh hour, Noelia’s best friend – someone who may have been able to talk Noelia out of going ahead with her death – was denied access. When there was question of yet another legal intervention, authorities stated that was not possible: Noelia’s organs had been targeted for harvesting, earning millions for their sale. This case speaks to a cascade of tragedies which ended in a young woman being failed at every turn, and paying the ultimate price to a society which unashamedly exploits the vulnerable. Her controversial case has attracted widespread media attention in Spain. Noelia Castillo Ramos shortly before her death The last few …
"Now, to have our "loins girt," signifies two things: First, the virtue of chastity; Secondly, a readiness to meet our Lord coming to judgment, whether it be the particular or the general judgment. The holy fathers, St. Basil, St. Augustine, and St. Gregory, give the first explanation. And truly, the concupiscence of the flesh, beyond all other passions, doth greatly hinder us from being ready to meet Christ; whilst, on the other hand, nothing makes us more fit to follow our Lord, than virginal chastity. We read in the Apocalypse how virgins follow the Lamb “whithersoever he goeth.”
[St. Robert Bellarmine – XVI-XVII Century A.D.; Montepulciano, Grand Duchy of Tuscany/Rome, Papal States; (Aged 78); Cardinal; Rector; Professor; Doctor of the Church; Role in Giordano Bruno & Galileo cases] “CHAPTER IV. THE FOURTH PRECEPT, CONTAINING THREE EVANGELICAL COUNSELS. ALTHOUGH what we have said on faith, hope, and charity, may seem sufficient to enable us to live well and die well; yet, in order to effect these two objects more perfectly and more easily, our Lord Himself has deigned to give us three counsels in the Holy Scriptures: thus He speaks in St. Luke: "Let your loins be girt, and lamps burning in your hands. And you yourselves like to men who wait for their lord, when he shall return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord, when he cometh, shall find watching." (chap. xii. 35, 36.) This parable may be understood in two ways: of preparation for the coming of our Lord at the last …Mai

The WM Review 03. March, 2026. Fr Maciej Sieniatycki, recently cited by Mgr Pierre Roy, described a ‘church’ built on modernist principles. These principles are those of ‘synodality’, their ‘church’ the Conciliar/Synodal Church. Editor’s Notes At the time of publishing his Open Letter to the SSPX on the announced episcopal consecrations (dated 12 February, 2026), Mgr Pierre Roy’s website presented a text from one Father Maciej Sieniatycki, professor of Dogmatic Theology, taken from Przegląd Powszechny (1916). This intriguing text read as follows: “A Church that came into being according to modernist principles—if indeed such principles could create a true religious community, which is highly doubtful—would no longer be the Church of Christ but a 20th-century creation, based on principles that are partly Protestant but primarily grounded in an ideology of agnosticism and positivism, with mystical fantasies. This new church might have both a pope and bishops, but they would be mere …Mai
On March 19, Bishop Johan Bonny, 70, of Antwerp, Belgium, announced in an 11-page pastoral letter his intention to ordain married men as priests in his diocese by 2028. He plans to personally prepare suitable candidates with the necessary theological training and pastoral experience. "The question is no longer whether the Church can ordain married men as priests, but rather, when and by whom it will be done." Bonny also wants to make "the sacrament of ordination accessible to women, starting with ordination to the diaconate." The pro-homosexual prelate believes that there is "room for diversity within the sacrament of ordination." In his diocese, a "provisional intermediate step" will be the "development of an ecclesial ministry that is equally accessible to men and women and gives them an equal share in the pastoral and administrative services of the Church." "Terminologically, we can best speak of the ministry of 'pastor.'" Monsignor Bonny considers an appropriate liturgical act or an …Mai
What would we rather have, an unmarried homosexual priest or a married normal priest? I know, I know, neither. But if I had to choose, the second option looks more favorable.
